Hi all -

I finally got my problematic distally impacted back lower left wisdom tooth removed in hospital 3 and a half weeks ago. Horrendous pain for the first week and a very numb tongue.

Glad to say now the numb tongue is gradually improving but the hole left by my wisdom tooth is enormous comparatively to the previous one I had out a while back.

I’m worrying about it everyday and it’s super annoying getting so much food stuck in it daily. The dissolvable stitches came out at about 2 weeks which is what the oral surgeon said would happen so that’s fine.

But I’m just wondering if this looks normal for almost being at 4 weeks? There’s no pain, no bleeding, etc just a massive hole that catches literally everything I eat.

Does this look okay? I’m keeping it clean with salt water etc.

I just want to put my mind at ease as by 4 weeks shouldn’t it be closing more? Or is it just going to be slow as it was badly impacted and apparently had multiple roots?

Thanks! :)
