dentist appointment today. terrified

AAAHHHH!! very scared, going to a private dentist who specialises on phobic patients.. will find out today what's wrong and how much it's going to cost to fix it. Of which I am both terrified! Anyone know roughly how much it is per filling at a private dentist? Thanks

Mine were £65 each. I suspect prices may vary!

Not sure on prices, as Toucan says, they can vary, but do they have a website that lists these? Mine is private, but do display prices on their website, so you have a very good idea of what is entailed.

And mine specializes in phobic patients too, and they are fabulous!

Well done, you've made such a big step.

I know how much of a big deal this as I'm in the same position myself! just made my first appointment with a specialist dentist for phobics after many a year. It's not for a few weeks as I'm going on holiday and she's very busy but feel frightened but also little bit proud that I have made that first step although I'm worried that this sudden courage runs out on me. But hoping not!

It's funny I was thinking yesterday that trying to "shake" of this fear is a little like getting rid of a controlling boyfriend. It's going to be scary without it but life will eventually be sooo much better, fingers crossed.

I'm also not sure about prices although the website I'm using does have some guide prices, good luck...thinking of you and rotting for you, Take care x

Thanks everyone the appointment went well he was a very nice man, he referred me to get sedated at the dental hospital which I am happy about! But I am needle phobic too! Eek so now I'm very nervous about that too! Now I'm completely lost with price and confused! But regardless I'm going to pay it, I'm desperate to get over my fear I can't handle this ruining my life any more!!
