did i bite parotid gland ?

about a week ago i bit the left back side of my cheek and i can feel a flap of flesh there now, plus it has a canker/ulcer on it which was hurting but not anymore. anyone had this before? is it my gland? I'm worried =-(

The parotid glad is right in front of your ear and its separated from your teeth by muscle. I highly doubt you bit it. Maybe you just bit the flesh too hard and it's torn it a bit. It's happened to me before. I wouldn't worry about it

You won't have bitten the parotid gland but you may have bitten the cheek where the gland opens into the mouth. This is located on your cheek opposite the first upper molar.
You would expect to get an ulcer and also expect that it would stop hurting and heal after 7-10 days.
Be careful not to catch it again whilst it is swollen as this just drags the whole thing on and the healing has to start again.
If it doesn't settle in 10 days see your dentist.
