Full Extractions and dentures tomorrow

I was told to use it after 4 weeks, but you can use Seabond strips, they make it comfortable and really help to hold them in.

Well its been two weeks since having all teeth pulled and I'm only eating soft foods since dentures are very loose on bottom..Does anyone know if its to soon to use glue on my dentures? I'm afraid it will hurt if I do!! Help!!

I actually started using Fixodent the day after my extractions..at the dentists suggestion! And yes, I had stitches. The Fixodent all came out without a problem..just rinse with nice warm water and use a little gauze to clean it off. Never did hurt.

If you are unsure about it..call your dentist and ask. That's what they are there for.

Thanks guy for all the replies.Still haven't used the glue.I don't know why I'm so chicken to try it!! But I think I'm gonna have to if I want to learn to eat in time for the holidays.So far I'm just eating soft foods and using tongue to help smash the food up!! This is so weird I tell you!!

haha...silly as long as your gums seem to be healed I would think it is fine, once you put adhesive on the bottom (my top doesn't slip at all without anything) you are going to be spoiled!! Seriously, you can chew!!!!!! Do it Elvis! Do it Elvis, lol...

I had all my tops out on October 6th....I am eating like nobodys business. Still only on one side, cuz I don't have my bottom partial yet. I cant wait to get that in January!!

Try eating, I bet you can do more than you think!!! What an exciting time for you!! Hope things continue to improve! I am soooooo glad I had mine done. I eat WAY more stuff than I used to with my terrible teeth

Don't be scared..it's just glue. Just start out using a little bit. That might be all you need. Don't use a LOT or you'll be wondering if you're going to get them back out. Been there done that.
I found the Fixodent Original the easiest to clean out of your mouth when you remove your dentures. Everybody is different though so just experiment. Once you get them stuck in it will be a lot easier to eat!!
