I've been wearing a full upper denture for 12 years with no problem, and lower partial for four years that's been problematic once I lost an anchor tooth which helped hold it in.

I'm seeing a dentist soon to figure out a solution. My few lower teeth have declined over the years. My mission today is to see if any of them can be saved. A friend advised me to just go with a full lower and be done with it, but someone else once said lowers never really fit right and are hard to keep in, and that I should do all I can to preserve a few anchor teeth.

Is that the general feeling here? And do some people have no problems with full lowers?

Anxious.

Hi there, full lower dentures are definitely harder to keep in and eat with, so if you have any saveable teeth that can be used as anchors, it would be a wise idea to hang onto them!

@letsconnect Thanks for your reply. I had an appointment since posting my question. The plan is to save what can be saved, but the dentist did add, "It'll buy you some time." I'm about to turn 72. I'll take it.
