Hello, I've had a bit of pain on my gum when i brush/waterpik and found a tiny bump that hurts when i touch it right below the tooth/gumline. I can't see anything when i look in the mirror. it's been like this for 4-5 days now and i'm starting to lose my mind over it, anxious that it could be something terrible. I know the best option is to schedule a dentist appt but i'm petrified. is this possibly something that i can resolve on my own? Or at least rule out cancer or a root canal.

thanks so much

It's impossible to say what it is or isn't from your description. You need to get it looked at and take it from there.

this turned out to be just gum inflammation that resolved after a good cleaning
