So on the 20th of this month I went to get a check up. My dentist ttold me "hey ask your mother to get your cavities done ASAP. You need them done. You have 8." I thought to myself 8 cavities?! She told me they are all dated back from 2011. Now I eat less refined sugar, haven't drank soda in years, and cut down on a lot of sugars from carbs for dinners. So the next day (21st) I got them all done. My mom was suprised they did them all in one day but my dentist said it would be ok. Before they did my numbing, they checked my bp it was 135 I was scared and got an anxiety attack. My original bp is 115/75(perfect bp). So she numbed me then have me that huge needle shot for or 5 times in each side of my mouth. Ugh that hurt. So 2 people were performing surgery on my mouth they told me raise your hand if there is pain. I probably did that 4 or 5 times. Well, after they did the top, I told her I had to go to the bathroom. She said "let's do the bottom and then you can." The top were about 2-3 minutes on each tooth. So I feel liked they raced on my bottom teeth so I could go to the bathroom. The bottom left was about 2 minutes. The bottom right was like 1 minute it seemed Super quick. Well ever since this, all the teeth are ok except for one -- the bottom right. Every single time I drink water, refined sugar, fruits, hot food, cold food, it hurts so bad I mean to the point where I'm pacing around going "ah! Ah! Ah!!!!!!!! My tooth is acting up again" do you think the cavity was filled properly or does this sound like a root canal? I kind if doubt it's a root canal.

Hello Aedah,
I just had two fillings removed(silver) and replaced with white composite..Well I'm having the same problem as you are . I ate pancakes with syup yesterday and boy did my tooth ache after...Then today while drinking my semi hot coffee it started to ache again...My dentist told me last Wednesday before I left his office to give them two weeks before thinking something is wrong with them...So I will wait....Maybe you should call the dentist and ask why the teeth are so sensitive to sugar, etc....I hope they get better...If they were small cavities and not deep I wouldn't think you would'nt need a root canal but that I'm not a dentist...

Aedah you are best listening to your dentist, I don't know what check can be done on line that would help you in this. You need to give the tooth time to settle and the fact that you are seeing your own dentist next week is the best thing for you to do.

Please do not check on line. On this forum we can offer support and we can give you our opinions but we cannot diagnose your problem. Only your dentist can do this by having a look and maybe taking an x ray. :)
