I have a small cavity between two of my front teeth, and I'm very nervous about having it filled in three days. I've only ever had a molar filled, and I don't quite understand how a cavity between front teeth is filled. If someone could please explain, that would be amazing. I'm freaking out!! :o

Hi
In most cases, the dentist cleans (=drills) the cavity from the inside of the mouth, in other words, the side of the tooth facing out is left untouched (so there is no difference in the appearance of the front teeth).
For building the filling itself the dentist uses a thin transparent band, and a white filling material, and lastly polish the filling so that the tooth will feel smooth and comfortable while closing the teeth together and chewing.

A small tip: If the dentist gives you a local anesthesia for this filling, ask it to be given as slow as possible, then you will not feel a thing.:)
