How will they remove stitches when I can barely open mouth..freaking out

I survived my surgery 2 lower wizzies removed and jaw cyst removed/bone graft ugh...

I am 8 days post op and still have a golf ball swelling in left cheek an jaw. I was given stitches that need to be removed on Monday, but I can barely get a tooth brush or spoon in mouth, how is the OS going to take these out..this is really freaking me out...are they going to have to break my jaw?

no they arnt going to break your jaw,,the same way they got the stitches in,they will come out,,they have thin tools to work around your needs,,and it dont hurt at all except a lil pinch to remove the stitches,,i just had 12 teeth pulled and a lump removed from my tongue on nov 17th,the worst is over,my stitches came out nov 24th and its was a few ouches but no big deal,honest,,try not to panic,!!!

It is also OK to wait a bit until you feel better.
Nothing will happen if the stiches are removed after two weeks.

Thank u Natrw and Dr. Daniel for your replies...Im still very nervous but I will try to think about what u both said and hope for the best.....Im doing the ibuprophen and moist heat round the clock hopefully by Monday this big mouth of mine will open wide and my worry will have been for nothing

most people are nervous about dental visits.try not to panic,the worst part is over,,removing the stitches is nothing compared to what you have been through and it takes less than a minute to remove the stitches,,mostly they are about out b4 you go to have them removed,the body push them out as it heals because its foreign..honest it wont be more than a lil tiny pinch thats so quick by the time you say OUCH it will be over..i had them removed from my tongue and gums last week..you will be okay,!!
