Hello, I have cavity on my two front teeth #(8,9), the dentist asked for approval of root canel from the dental insurance provider, but they refused. The dental insurance says it's not medically necessary. The two teeth hurt when I drink anything and sometimes they hurt randomly. What should I do?

Can you pay for it yourself? See with your dentist if a payment plan would be possible if you can't.

Otherwise, ask the dentist what other option is possible, but I would guess it's pulling it out.

Get them filled properly and the sensitivity might go away.
If the pain with cold is brief then yes if you have spontaneous pain or pain lingers then you need rct.
I have never had a claim for a rct denied by the way.

the dental insurance provider sent me a letter saying that they are denying the white glass with metal crown because they say it's not medically necessary, could it be that they are denying the crown but not the root canal?

I assume you are young so in my own practice I avoid doing crowns on young patients and on patients with high decay rate. The position of your caries is consistent with a high rate of caries so be sure and check all of your other teeth and get x-rays done. Based on very limited information I would just place a filling even if it was large.
