I have been given a set of full immediate dentures to take with me when I go to hospital to have my extractions. The more I look at them, the more the teeth in them seem too small, is this normal? Also, the upper set have a gap in the plastic above the front six teeth, I've never seen a set like that before and I was wondering if that was normal too and if there was any reason for it?

Thanks

Hello just saw your thread and thought I could maybe help, I have temp immediates after getting a full upper and partial lower last May, the first thing I said was gosh they are tiny this is how they seem to be but I am getting my more permanent set made and they can be done to suit you a bit better but to be honest once in they look ok and don't look little and as for the gap, do you mean a up and down notch going from the edge about level with the front 2 ?? If so this is the notch that holds the little strip of skin that tethers the lip to the upper gum.
If I can help in any way based on my experience please give me a shout
wishing you well
