IN PAIN don't know what to do

I started having pain, went to my dentist. After an x ray, I had to have FOUR fillings fixed. Three on one side and one on the right side. It is suspected they were cracked or chipped due to teeth grinding. (i wear a night guard but do have the occasional nap without it.)

Got the four fixed at one time. Its been over a week. I have tooth pain on my lower front teeth (which were not worked on and showed zero problems on the xray), I have jaw pain and my left ear hurts.

The dentist has already said that if I am still having pain that I may need root canal work. How does that explain the jaw pain? I don't want to go back but I can't take this pain.

Bit of a guess, but it's possible that the new fillings have altered your bite and now your front teeth are more in the firing line. You could look at having your bite checked and also maybe your splint adjusted.
