Itchy gums

Hi

Just had a large filling on my pre molar and teeth behind it and because it was painful before im in the habit of biting down to ensure of no pain which there isnt in the tooth itself.

The gums above seem really itchy and tight kind of though just wondering will this go away never nice having a itch ofc!

Thank you filling was about 3 weeks ago and this itch has just appeared now hopefully will go away like you said

Sorry to ask again but my gums have now started bleeding just at the gumline and the itchiness seems associated above one tooth one that I had the big filling in? Just wondering what could cause this? Things like this give me major anxiety.

Can you give some more details, e.g. is the bleeding happening out of the blue or when you're brushing/flossing/using interdental brushes? Does the filling go to the gumline? Might make it easier for the dentists here to answer your question if you could provide a little more background info ?

Happens only when I'm flossing/brushing then settles down left like a cut but doesn't bleed. Filling is just below the gumline I think but a rather big one.

It's really hard to help without examining you. Best i can suggest is if the bleeding persists for another week and shows no sign of improving then contact your dentist. The edge of the filling might need a little polish or reshaped slightly. Don't be put off flossing because of the bleeding.

Thank you for your reply! Is it possible that the filling could be slighty too high which is causing this very small itch? The dentist shaved it down once. It seems to itch when i bite down slightly. Thanks!
