I just had iv sedation yesterday. I was so terrified beforehand. I didn't want to feel loopy/drunk, and I was worried I'd still be aware of what was happening or that something would 'wake me up'. . .
Nothing like that. the Dr put the iv in, and then the assistant put an oxygen mask on me, and that's the last I remember.
When I came out of it, I wasn't 'hungover' or loopy. The assistant made me get in a wheelchair, but I could've walked.
The anxiety I had was the worst I've had in a long time, but the iv sedation was the easiest part of any dental appointment I've ever had. I would definitely do it again.
