I have been an extensive clencher most of my life, and in 1997, I was one of the earliest people to get an NTI from the inventor, Dr. James Boyd. It saved my life! I had experienced what had been diagnosed as a transformed migraine, and was in intensive pain nearly 24/7. My NTI changed all that. And then in June of this year, I had to have all my remaining teeth extracted. Due to a problem unrelated to the NTI, my teeth deteriorated so badly (from a medication I was on) that what teeth I had left were making me sick. Since my extractions, I have started clenching again, with nothing to put my NTI on now!

I am in the process of having my dentures made and can't help but wonder what will happen after I get them in. What clenching I'm doing now is somewhat painful, but since I have no teeth left to push into, it's just weird pain I'm experiencing...mild headaches with the potential to get bad....so I take something to prevent that from happening. When I get my dentures, is there an NTI that is made to fit over dentures? I don't know what else I can do but wear one at least in the daytime, so I'm more relaxed at night.

Am I just out of luck now, or can an NTI be fashioned for dentures?

It would destabilize your denture
If you are a female migraines generally decrease after menopause.

In general strongly consider implants to support at least your lower denture
Also have your dentist check the vertical opening and freeway space both are interdependent and can cause muscular pain and tension.

I'd drop Dr Boyd an e-mail and ask him what he thinks about NTI and dentures, I've heard of NTIs being attempted onto dentures, but I haven't heard what the results have been like.
