So appox 3 weeks ago I had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted, for 7 days after the surgery I took Amoxicillan. On day 10 after the surgery the extraction site that was sewn shut got infected and I was prescribed Augmentin, at this same time I developed a sore throat and had alot of green mucus coming from my throat in the mornings, and a mild cough all day from irritated throat.
The Augmentin cleared up both of these to a degree. I was only on the Augmentin for 7 days, within a day after getting off the Augmentin, I started waking with sore, irritated throat again, no green mucus this time, but alot of white mucus. I notice some slight soreness under my jawbone and down the middle of my neck off and on.
Also the infected tooth doesn't look infected anymore, there is no discharge and when I clean it with the syringe the water runs clear.
Do I still have some kind of left over infection going on? Should I call the Oral Surgeon or my GP or ENT?
