as a result of bad genetics combined w/ avoiding the dentist due to dentist fears(probably being a result of my first memories of a dentist visit as being strapped down to a papoose board), needle fears, and issues w/ people being in my personal space, i'm in need of a lot dental work. Safe bet extractions are needed, maybe even bottom or partial bottom dentures if i'd have to make a bet on the situation. most likely it being a case of sooner then later.

thing is i want to be out cold for it whenever it is. Anyone have experience with it? I've gone under GA 4 tonsil removal and that's the same case i'd love 4 teeth work. One minute awake, then out cold, next conscious moment is me in recovery.

I've googled the subject a few times but no luck.

you will have to go to an oral surgeon and pay more but having ga for extractions is very common.

You have to do what is right for you and you feel comfortable with.

Also you can get it all the work done at once.

The important thing is to get the dental work done so you are no longer in pain, infected and feeling bad
about your appearance.

How do i track down an oral surgeon? Any idea if a dentist would know? My mom and an aunt have used a dentist they trust and my mom is going to have a bit of work done in her lower mouth( possibly another extraction or 2) so could it be something i could ask him about or have her ask him about?

She keeps telling me how great he was w/ her top dentures with extractions and making sure she was completely but it's something way outside my comfort zone. I tried reading stories here about iv sedation since i heard it's cheaper and easier to come out of to see if i was just overacting but it backfired on me. I became even more freaked out.

As far as pain, it's rare since i became careful with what i eat and how i eat it.

and defiantly would love the one and done route if possible.
