Hey,
I wonder if you could help me. Following a infection in my back tooth I had it pulled out last Tuesday. It has healed well andI don't really have any concerns apart from a weird little lump in the gap where the tooth was. I noticed it a few hours after the tooth was pulled and just thought it must be a normal thing. However 7 days later it is still there. It doesn't hurt and is a nice healthy pink colour like the rest of the gum just sort of a small round lumpy thing. Am reluctant to go back to the Dentist so soon seem to have spent the last two weeks on and off in there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

Hi, I'm not a dentist but hope this helps.

Maybe it's a bit of the tooth that chipped off when the tooth was taken out. I had a difficult extraction a few years ago and peices of splitters of tooth kept surfacing through the gum as it was healing. it took awhile to heal and there were little bumps appearing during the healing.

It's ok now, no problem at all.:)

Thanks very much for your reply. If it is a bone fragment then it is yet to hit the surface. It is good to know everything healed fine with you. I find anything to do with teeth absolutley terrifying and when something unknown occurs it just sends me into paranoia hell. Am hoping its juat a part of the healing process and that like you It will all be back to normal soon enough.

I don't think your any diferent than alot of us on hear. I'm the same when it comes to thinking the worst. For me I express my paranoia but thinking that the dentist is dishonest which makes it difficult for me to trust them. I'm sure I could go through any dental procedure as long as I trusted the dentist.

So, don't be too hard on yourself, your not alone. :grouphug:
