I am so proud of myself. I didn't even cry either! :giggle: Here is my most recent post.

Appointment is set for next Friday. I will be eating lots of soup and ice cream for the next couple of weeks. Hubby will be taking care of me all weekend :- ) Hopefully, I'll be feeling better to return to work the following Monday. Anyone have any other suggestions for soft foods? Things to make recovery easier?

Thanks so much everyone on DFC!:jump:

I hope these links help you. Well done you for getting the courage to make the appointment. When you decide to move you don't hang around do you :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Good on you :jump::jump::jump:

Best wishes to you for Friday :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::hug5::friends:

Carole, you are FABULOUS. Thank you so much! I am so determined right now to take charge of my health :- D

For the record, Jamie, I commented on your original post with a different username: 'Finally_Conquered_My_Fear'.

That sounded a bit dramatic, so I changed it to Steve, lol...

Cheers, and well done!
Steve

Ah, I thought that my have been you. Hope you're doing well :- )

jhart what time is it there it is nearly midnight here in the UK, so by our time you haven't long to wait now. Good luck, just keep telling yourself that it will be okay, and you will be okay. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

I'm in Minnesota, USA, current time is 7pm. A week and a half to go, but I should be fine :- ) Mostly worried about cost. Dental insurance is ridiculous in US and barely covers anything, but I'm confident I should be able to pay for it with Care Credit.

Doing well, thanks!

Still on the soft food. . .mainly frankfurters, lol.

But feel great all the same!!

Wifey (is that the opposite of hubby?) has been uber-supportive.

So awesome that you've made an appointment, Jamie!!

That's such a big step.

Best wishes,
Steve

Hey jamie,
Good for you for making the appointment! what oral surgeon are you going to? It is really going to be okay..If you are doing I.V sedation it is really easy! I've been eating milkshakes, applesauce, scrambled eggs, soup with soggy crackers, hotdishes, ice cream, soggy cereal! pancakes, french toast to name a few..I will be thinking about you:)on the day of your surgery..Take care!
Stephanie

Thank you I thought your app was for this Friday, my mistake. Don't get too stressed out while waiting everything will be fine, and it will soon be over and done with. :respect::respect::respect: You are brave making the appointment :star::star::star::star::star::butterfly:

@Steve- Glad your wife has been helpful :- )
@Stephanie- I'm going to St Paul Oral Surgery in Mendota Heights. I hope I can sleep the night before. If not, ehhhh I'll sleep enough during my appointment :- )
@Carole-Thanks again. I should be ok. Just finally relieved that I"m finally, FINALLY getting this taken care of.

Jamie, Ask the dentist for an ativan for the night before..You'll sleep like a baby! That is what I did...!! We have Carecredit too...other wise we wouldnt have anyway to pay for our dental work since our insurance ran out of funds.....

ooo, good idea. Maybe I can try to call them back.
CareCredit has been great. We had to use it for one of our kitties who eventually had to be put down :- ( It was interest free as well.

The very best of luck Jhart, :clover::clover::clover::clover: let us know how it goes x:whirl:
