Cut story short I had numerous fillings and root canals when I was in my teens, wasn’t really shown great oral care when I was younger and bouts of depression. Since then I’ve done everything possible to take care of my teeth.
Now age 42 I recently finished a course of in Invisalign and bonding. Teeth looking great.
However crown fell off old failed root canal and dentist suggested implant. Started that process in Feb, had dry socket, pain all over face that settled on opposite side upper left. Kept being told could be facial pain by 3 dentist, nothing showing on X-rays or cone scan. Pain came and went, no obvious trigger. Eventually became severe toothache radiating from upper L7.
Managed to track down my old dentist who’s really lovely, he found a crack under filling, treated it as wasn’t deep but pain returned so he did stage1 rct. Said nerve had died and would have definitely absessed.
Went on holiday hoping I’d have no pain
I was in agony. Went to Spanish doctor for pain relief and dentist who cleaned tooth out again.
Returned to dentist after holiday. He finds crack in upper L6, nerve also died. Started treatment but is still sore on and off, not really when I bite but pain builds over the day and night.
Had 2 implants placed on left same week too so I could at least get ball rolling so I can eat on opposite side.
I’m gonna return this week for advice on a treatment plan going forward and why these teeth are still aching despite being de nerved.
I don’t really know what im
Asking here but has anyone ever had such catastrophic dental experiences happen at once?
I’m so anxious about the amount of X-rays I e had over last 3 months 8 inc 3d scan,
Highly anxious I could loose tooth 6, 7 or both and now I have another tooth on the other side giving electric shocks.
This is too much.
I can’t work or barely make it out the house now due to anxiety. This feels never ending.
