need two fillings next week :( bit anxious

after finally getting over my anxiety, i went to the dentist and it’s been great! i have a couple posts about it. i had a full jaw xray taken last week and went in today for my follow up hygiene appointment, where they told me unfortunately from the xray there is decay between the molars of my teeth on both sides and i will need two fillings done. on the bright side, my wisdom teeth are alright and don’t need removing (nonexistent on the bottom - yay!) but i’ve never had fillings before and it’s always the unknown that scares me. i don’t know what to expect (even though they’ve explained the procedure). they use numbing gel so that’s a relief but it’s still scary to me as a needle hater. the plan is to get them both done at once, but if i can’t then it can be split up in two. i’m hoping to just get it over with, because once this is done i can get started with invisalign which is what i really want doing, but it’s getting over this scary hurdle first

Fillings are one of the simplest dental procedures to have done. Yes they have to numb it, but the numbing gel minimizes the needle pain so you really don't feel much. You'll be fine, really.
