Nervous for my daughter

Hi everyone. Here in a couple weeks my daughter will be getting the gold chain bonding done on her 2 front teeth in her gums (they are all the way up there) I'm super nervous for her and as a mother I don't know what to expect. Can anyone here give some in site? Is it painful for her? Is she limited on what she can eat? If you or your kiddo has ever had it done how long did you have the chains for? She just got braces last week so that is a adjustment. Than to think now she will be going in to have this done. I'm too scared to google it for fear I'm going to see something so graphic it'll send me into a panic attack for her.

It's a relatively routine procedure. The area is given some local anaesthetic. A little flap of gum is lifted up to expose the crown of the buried tooth, sounds horrible but from the patient's POV it's just a bit of pressure. A little button is glued onto the crown of the tooth, with the gold chain attached. Then the flap is stitched or glued back in place.

The orthodontist will then attach the chain to the braces and gentle pressure is applied via the chain to coax the buried tooth into position.

It'll take a few months can't say without seeing where you're starting from. Assume about 1mm movement per month...
She's already limited on eating because of her braces, having the chain in place doesn't affect this, I hope your orthodontist has already given advice on eating and generally looking after things?
