Oral Surgery, Cracked Molar, and High BP

I have a high resting BP and I'm debating whether or not I should go to the oral surgeon, as I'll most surely be turned away and told to follow up with my PCP. The procedure is to have my wisdom tooth and the adjacent molar removed (upper right). In addition to high BP I also have a fear of the dentist originated in childhood. My resting bp is anywhere from 138/91 to 146/104. Any advice is much appreciated!
