paranoid that dentist isn't telling me what needs doing

so i went to the dentist today,awful....anyway i had x-rays and my dentist said i just needed one filling re-doing.i am convinced there is more stuff that needs doing,but she would tell me if i did need more work,right?!

WOW! Good for you! You are soooo lucky! Xrays will and should show everything. For instance I have 10,000.00 worth of damage...however, I feel no pain. in any of my teeth. Are you feeling pain in any?
Anyways! That's great! That you only need that one thing done!

Yea, i was, and kinda in the same boat with thinking the dentist not telling me everything that needs to be done. this past winter i just had 5 fillings done (all my first fillings) and im still looking over my teeth thinking she left somthing, or dident tell me somthing for some reason.

But, when i think logicaly, that doesnt make much sense. They are a buisness, if there was more work that needed to be done, why pass up the oppertunity to do so. Ive worried crazy about tiny white spots on my teeth, the barly noticable chip on my front tooth (which isnt even really a chip, more of a scratch) when my mouth drys out, some areas of my front teeth look whiter then other parts, the crazed lines in my bottom front teeth, the pit stanes on some of my molars, if my fillings are suddleny going to fall out, etc

it goes on an on, and yes, sometimes i think, i have to run to the dentist right away, because im scared at any moment my teeth are going to break and ill be in pain, but if that was the case, they would have told me! Most of the "Problems" i got are strictly cosmetic. I bet even just bleaching the teeth would illiminate all of them,

But i get ur fear. i share it, but if u allready seen a dentist and thats all thats wrong with u, they would know. they have seen it all, so if they thought somthing was wrong, they would and should tell u. but they havent. so..

i have sensitive teeth so i get twinges now and then. i am sure i get 'phantom' pain. i get so worked up and worried my teeth are gonna drop out i almost imagine pain if that makes sense! it realised this when i was on holiday last week because i hadn't had tooth ache all week but the week before i was preocupied with teeth and thought i had tooth ache

yea, im the same way.

Its scary, ya know, im right now obsessed to the point were its putting my life on hold worrying about white spots. Its crazy. I dont want more cavaties, and im doing everything i can do avoid them, yet, there still there, these white spots,...aggh!

Its a fear, if it will make u feel better u can go see ur dentist again, but, idk if ull learn anything else.
