Pressure pain 1 month after root canal

So I went today to get my onlay put on but I am still having slight pain if I put pressure on the tooth that had the root canal. Its tooth 14 so they told me to go back to the specialist to have it evaluated. Im really stressing because I didn't like the specialist too much and now I think something went wrong with it. The tooth had 3 canals filled and they said there could possibly be a 4th but wouldn't the specialist seen it? Im freaking out here if anyone can help.

Also I don't eat on the tooth but I can feel the pain for like a split second if I push on the tooth.

Thanks, do you know what the endo will do when I see him? Will he actually have to go back into the tooth or can he tell by x-rays and looking at it?

Probably some fresh x-rays from different angles. Maybe another look at the bite on the tooth.

I noticed that I have no pain or sensitivity when I gargle with warm or cold water, but when I gargle with warm salt water I get sensitivity on the tooth? Anyone know why?

sigh, I just had a root canal 36 hrs ago and have severe pain if I even bite down on a cracker there, so I don't. I don't understand why, because I thought a root canal kills off all the nerves in the tooth. But I am so sorry for your situation, I hope it gets taken care of. How many days or hours has it been since you had your root canal?

I am so worried myself about the severe pain if ANY food ends up on that tooth during chewing. Hoping the pain goes away and the tooth becomes normal for chewing (at least soft food) so I can get a crown (I made another post on that, not meaning to hijack this thread).
