hi yesterday my nose started being sore, and my upper lip is swollen too,i dont know if its a nose thing or dentist thing,my teeth are not sore,i have had some work on my front teeth over 9 months ago but im not sure who to see the d+octor the dentist ,i have had this before and the doctors and dentist just kept passing me back and forth, please help.
Plus im getting a little anxious about it so please dont scare me

I had an "is it the ear or a tooth" pain a couple of years ago. Took some painkillers and it went away after a couple of days. A few months later I found a small lump in my mouth and my GP fastracked me to an appointment with a specialist at a hospital - very scarey as we all know what lumps may indicate. Turns out it was caused by a rotten tooth. My tooth is in the middle of treatment and all looks good but I have still have the lump and the specialist is probably going to remove it (funny - not too worried about this as he is not a dentist but probably will land up being a far bigger procedure than dealing with the tooth!). It was very difficult to determine if the initial pain was teeth or ears and I should have had it checked out but my fear of the dentist was too much. The pain also went away and as this was my first experience of toothache it certainly was not what I had expected.

Sorry - meant to add (but the washing machine interupted) that I was treated extremely well by kind professionals who answered questions and explained things thoroughly. My treatment (rct) has been smooth and I think has contributed to my feeling far more happier with visiting a dentist!

So - very positive outcome for me and I'm sure it will be for you to. Good luck and keep us up-to-date.

see the dentist hopefully yours is a good diagnostician
Physicians with the exception of ENT don't know facial anatomy well.

This is so true I was treated for neuralgia when my face was giving me trouble, when I saw a dentist that was competent he treated the problem and cured it within a couple of weeks.
