I had my top teeth extracted 2 days ago, and came home with temporary top denture in. It started bleeding and felt too tight. I removed it. I called dentist today, and they said to wait for swelling to go down before putting them back in, which could be a couple of days or a week. The swelling has reduced significantly, but I am scared to death to try to put them in. Should I try it every day or wait a week?

Adding to my earlier post about trying to put my top denture in:
I found the main source of the pain. The injection site behind my front teeth in the roof of my mouth left a painful bump. I have been putting ice on it, which seems to be reducing the bump. Is there an oral topical that reduces swelling or inflammation or does anyone have any other suggestions?
