Over the past 8 months I have had 3 abscesses in the bottom left jaw. It started with one abscess, I was given antibiotics then the already filled wisdom tooth was removed, about 6 weeks later I had more pain from another abscess, this time I need 2 lots of antibiotics and a molar was removed, I now have a premolar with an abscess that the dentist tried removing but it was too painful so I am on antibiotics again, but the pain is still there. I am booked in to have it removed this week. I have been looking into having implants done to fill the gaps of these removed teeth and the 3D x-ray I had showed that the molar removal I had in February, not all the root was removed. I am now dreading going back on Wednesday to have the premolar removed. Is it common to have reoccurring abscesses, what's causing them and do I have an underlying issue in that part of my mouth?

Hard to say without seeing your mouth, or knowing anything about your medical history or dental history, sorry.

Just to update this post, I had the pre molar removed, but it was not easy, despite multiple injections I could still feel the tooth and it took a lot of effort to remove it, my dentist almost gave up. That was 24 hours ago but I can't see much of a clot, does this mean I will get dry socket? It does hurt and throb.

Don't think so, there is a clot present and you're kind of out of the dry socket window. Normally they show up almost as soon as the local wears off.
