Retainer

Help! My dentist gave me a retainer, and I am unsure of how to put it together. I have attached pictures of all the pieces and instructions, but I just can't figure it out. I can't go back there just to have them help me since it is very far away.

Oh God, I did for the first time last night. It was awful. I felt like I was going to pull my teeth out (not just the crowns) and that the top portion was fused to my teeth. I had a few too many drinks tonight so I will try again tomorrow and figure out how to make it feel better. Ugh. Saga continues
