Retreatment Complete...one more question

I went yesterday morning for my root canal retreatment. The endodontist was able to find the missed canal with the microscope. He said it was difficult, and it was the smallest canal he had ever seen. So thankful that is over!

I go to my regular dentist in 3 weeks to have the permanent filling put in. I was wondering if they will have to numb me for that? With the nerve gone, I am thinking no...but just want to be prepared.

I'm not a dentist, but guessing you will not need to be done. I have a permanent filling after a RCT with not numbing and I felt nothing. My dentist will always err on the side of numbing is he thinks I will feel something, but was certain that I would feel nothing when he filled the RCT'd tooth - and he was correct.
