I need 4 cavities filled next week then my dentist wants me to go get my wisdom teeth removed. Obviously I’m scared, I’m not scared of the actual procedure I know it won’t be pleasant with all the sounds but I’m mostly scared of the recovery and the possibility of dry socket. I’m going to schedule a consultation with the oral surgeon my dentist recommended in a few weeks and I just want to read some success stories and words of wisdom lol

I’m turning 35 in August and I’m a little embarrassed it’s taken me this long to do it but alas here I am. I want it done and over with but the idea of post surgery pain scares me

Hi, I would ask the oral surgeon what they can do to make sure that you don't get dry socket and that the recovery goes smoothly, with as little pain as possible. Hopefully they'll be able to calm your nerves!

If you're looking for success stories, have you seen the wizzie removal success stories subforum (including a mega-thread at the top):
