Sensitive Teeth After Wisdom Tooth Extraction

Hi,
I had both my bottom wisdom teeth removed on the 25th November and my top right wisdom tooth removed as well as an extra tooth growing out the side on the top right at the same time.

The bottom teeth were horizontally aligned on the jaw bone, and the top ones were growing at angles towards my cheek. The dental surgeon said the procedure went well and they didn't need to drill away bone to remove the teeth, which is good However, since having these removed i have had Dry Socket which has been dealt with at the Dentist, and I am now experiencing sensitive teeth to cold liquids and air. And what feels like constant tooh ache. Its not a severe pain but it's enough to notice. The teeth that are "painful" are my first molars (so not even the ones next to the wisdom teeth) and my front 4 bottom teeth are sensitive to cold liquids and air.

I have been using Sensodyne toothpaste for the last year as my teeth were sensitive to Sweet things, and I use a Mouthwash twice a day which was prescribed by my dentist.

Can anyone tell me whether this is something to be worried about and if i should see my dentist again?

Hi there,

I have the same thing! Just had a top wisdom out a week ago and my teeth (many of them, even bottom ones) have become sensitive to cold air, food etc. Dentist said the whole mouth can be affected as the nerves are rattled with any extraction as teh tissue repairs itself. He said they could be sensitive for a while, use sensodyne and tylenol.
