I have tried to overcome my fear, finally a few months ago I went to a dentist, kinda felt chuffed with myself got fillings done and dentist was ok ish, but have been told due to gum disease need bottom front 4 teeth out, got a referal to anasetic clinic,i got my head around that and was originally told me I could have immediate dentures, then last week when I went back for a 3 month check I asked about the mold for the dentures and she mumbled something that maybe she could roll it up in this session of treatment but I may loose teeth whilst getting the mold done (yes I have one really loose one) and it would probably be better to wait until after, I said what sort of time scale would I be left with no bottom front teeth she again mumbled maybe January (3 months! !!) But it would be up to me and my oral hygene if I wanted them quicker!! I said I work with the public and I don't feel waiting even a short time is acceptable, she said I will see you in a couple of weeks and we will discuss then as this is just a check up appointment, since then my fear has escalated to my original can't sleep, can't eat fear, I have now decided to go to a different dentist (found one sympathetic to fearful patients) to get another opinion,I don't feel in this day and age they should leave someone near on 3 months with front teeth missing, please advise am I being sensible
