Hello! I have struggled with dental phobia ever since I was a child and I had a very bad experience. Two years ago I found a dentist, she was really nice to me and gentle etc etc. But I feel like everything she has done has failed, I want to know if this is my fault or if this is normal?
So she did a root canal, I payed a lot of money for it, and I understand they do not work every time. She filled it up etc I still had sensitivity 3 weeks later and I called her, she said that was normal and not to worry. Now fast forward less than a year from that, I developed a infection in the same tooth, it was a huge bump in my jaw and I decided to get it pulled because the initial root canal hurt a lot. I got it pulled by a different dentist because I was abroad.
But besides that, she did several fillings but now all the fillings have cavities under them. I try to take good care of my teeth, brush twice a day, floss.. All three of them have cavities and I have to get them redone. I am moving back to my home country soon so I am wondering if I should bother going back to her? Is this normal?
I feel like I wasted over a thousand euros on nothing..
