Still some pain in RCT tooth?

I had my upper back molar Root Canal Treated in March 2016. It was then fully treated in July 2016. Come September 2016 I needed to have it redone due to a canal been missed.

I am still having slight pain and sensitivity to touch (not cold sensitive but a little sore). Please can you tell me if this is normal and does it usually take a few months for it to heal?

I am scared at this stage of losing my teeth as I really don't want to.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated please.

Some teeth take several months to settle down but it sounds like it has a been a bit longer than that for you. Have you had a crown down on the tooth yet? If not, it may be slightly cracked and flex when bite down. This can cause some pain. Has your dentist checked your bite to make sure you're not hitting on the tooth too hard? This can cause your symptoms too.

I’ve also had my root canal done, on the 21st of September 2016, and sometimes I still feel a slight pain in the tooth in question as well. Especially, when the weather changes or sometimes when I change the position of my body, from sedentary to recumbent or conversely. I’ve heard on the morning TV that teeth after RCT can hurt a bit up to a year after the procedure. But – to be honest – I don’t feel like to believe in it… I don’t know, maybe it’s something like rheumatic pains…
