Well I have just been back to the dentist, them ladies are absolute stars!
they looked after me so well and we had a good laugh too had a bit of crunchy noise which I don't like and thought she was going back in for a missing root but when she had done I asked and she said no that's the molar and premolar out,!:scared: So was going to have sedation now had 4 teeth out in 2 days with injections and guess what next Thursday my remaining front 6 are getting removed and I am getting my immediate upper put in:faint: have asked for laughing gas on stand by just because front teeth extraction, well the thought of it gives me the heebie jeebies then it will be taking the bottom 5 remaining back teeth and my bottom denture. Things sure are moving fast!!
Who was it that was talking about wanting a sticker??
Well I got an extra one for you it says 'star patient':star: xxxx

I'm so pleased you are ok. I thought about you a couple of times today. At least now though its no longer fear of the unknown which I think is half the problem (is for me anyway). My top front are coming out tomorrow so I'll keep you posted as I know you are a bit worried about that bit. Hope you aren't in to much pain tonight. Big hugs x

Thanks Mellc lovely to know you are not alone isn't it x
we did have a big discussion about the top ones and she has told me how easy it will be and I don't think there will be the same pressure as its more a turn than a rocking and will be really quick, it wasn't sore to get these 2 out today. I'm a little tender now but due to take some paracetamol and I have just woken up , the shear mental stress is exhausting! It was funny when I went in I was waiting at reception and the nurse came think she was shocked that I had come back! So was the dentist reckon they thought I wouldn't so I was thanked for returning but hey what can I say mad and stubborn!!:tease:
i can't wait to hear how you get on tomorrow but I know if I have done this you can too and I send you all the luck in the world :clover::clover::clover::clover::clover::clover:

well you are my new hero :jump::jump::jump: I am so glad things are going so well for you, I am still in shock at reading the other days post.

I always want a badge when I have been to the dentist, but I never get one. Well done you for getting two, you deserve them, heck you deserve a whole box full.

Congratulations :cheer::cheer::cheer::dance2::dance2::dance2::dance::dance2::dance2::dance2::victory::yayy::you-rock:

It is lovely that you have such a good dentist, it makes all the difference as you now know. :cool:

Well done :respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect:

Thanks Carole I am in shock myself, it was one of my most toughest decisions sitting in that chair and given an option....................

there was so many stickers I didn't know which to choose:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::toofunny::toofunny::toofunny:
The relationship between you and your dentist has got to be good it makes all the difference and she knows about this site and thinks its great, she asked had I posted on Tuesday and I said I had shocked loads of people but they were all so pleased for me and that was great for boosting your confidence too, she said she couldn't believe what I had done either:grin:
there was someone else who mentioned stickers I know you did I will have to look as this is for her and I would like her to know she has one, it was someone who has posted a lot, yours is next Carole you should get sticker albums I could collect the series!!!
did they really think I wouldn't come back? Wow
Go on people, get a good dentist and give it a go you can always say stop:stop:don't do any more I can't manage I want a break. Xx

That is very kind of you, I can't remember who was wanting a badge either and I remember reading that same post, but I haven't a clue who it was.

I have a whole case full, in my head. When I have been to the dentist I mentally give myself one, along with a pat on the back a gold star and a big tick. :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

How are you feeling?

Just found it was bexii the 'long and winding road' I have sent her a message to look at my picture on today's post xx
i'm feeling a big tender bit harsh having both sides sore but due painkillers I have no top teeth past my front 6 so I won't be chewing for a bit, I had a touch of heartburn earlier ,side effect of ibuprofen even with something milky, the only thing I had was a rennie so had to nibble it with front teeth like a mouse took ages to nibble and get it powdery so it wouldn't get near the extraction sites but got there in the end but only had one, too much of an effort :giggle:
woke early this morning to find a clot in my mouth really gross I was alarmed as was only done Tuesday but she checked the site and said it was healing great, I am on prophylactic antibiotics for a year for something else so guess that will help too, guess I'll spend a while being tender as it will take a while to get these teeth sorted as I want to keep the work flowing while I am on a roll! It will be worth it in the long run.
thank you for keeping me up beat :)

I have just come here from Bexi's thread :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Crush the rennie between two spoons, or put them in some cling film and batter with a rolling pin. :cook: Can't cook, won't cook, but can batter a rennie into submission :rofl::rofl::rofl:

You have done really well, I hope all the soreness goes soon, I do enjoy reading your posts you are always cheerful and upbeat. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::hug5::hug5::hug5::butterfly:

Ha Ha so going enjoy smashing rennie's with the rolling pin:giggle: Isn't it funny the way the ache goes round from the top teeth to the bottom
there are so many people dealing with so much more than me I like to try and stay jolly not sure what I will feel like next Thursday though its a big thing to happen but not worth worrying about it and spoiling today,
going to order some jelly teeth sweets for my evening class buddies for when I get my teeth in
OK where's that rolling pin!!!
Goodnight Carole, sleep well xx

When we are having treatment it is a big deal, some of us have less than others, but we all tackle it and we all deserve to feel good about it. I think you have gone through a lot. Compared to me you are, I am having one little root canal retreated and it is such a big deal for me, but yours is bigger. :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Catch you all tomorrow :off-to-bed::off-to-bed::off-to-bed::off-to-bed::off-to-bed::off-to-bed::off-to-bed: goodnight.

I hope you aren't going to become that neighbour from hell with all the banging :cook::deadhorse::butterfly:

Root canal scares the heck out of me and I've never had one, nearest neighbour is 1/3 mile away and is my little sister and she can't complain as I'm her landlady!:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::toofunny:

Well Carole out came the rolling pin, rennie's( heartburn tablets) into a little clear plastic sandwich bag, I roll the pin over them and crush them nicely ( my brain didn't even think off that!!Doh!!) in walks hubby as I am lifting white powder out of clear plastic bag on a teaspoon .... "Darling this is not what it looks like" i say as I burst out laughing and the powder gets puffed off the spoon into the sink I have been popping pain meds all day and he walks in on me, looks like I'm doing hardcore narcotics:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:, Oh My you gotta laugh!!
needless to say I have liquid antacid now on the shopping list!

Oh, the joys of using your front teeth to nibble things :giggle:

You're right, the Rennie's made me laugh! Funnily enough, something similar happened to me yesterday only I was crushing paracetamol and it was nothing related to my teeth. As you know the Cold Fairy has infected me. So, I decided a hot blackcurrant would be perfect in the morning. Only I had no Lemsips so I improvised with crushed up paracetamol and diluted Vimto. Here I am crushing their pills and in walks my brother's girlfriend... awkward to say in the least :laugh:

Anyway. After all that hard work you did crushing Rennie's, they got lost down the sink. Did you try again lol

Sorry Bexii I wasn't notified of your reply, Yes eventually I got some rennies in me :giggle: I am finding lack of back teeth strange although gums are still tender and I still have sockets I am a cook so try the foods I'm cooking to see if its done or hot etc well the other day I bite into a sausage then realise I can't chew it, and as I have a cavity I have temperature sensitivity so I have to spit out the bit I'm eating and start again nibbling from front :rofl::rofl::rofl: also I now have liquid heartburn stuff but I bought the cheap stuff it was so thick it wouldn't come out of the small bottle neck I had to draw it out in a syringe ( we live on a farm so have syringes for various use age) so hubby walks in and I have a syringe full of liquid this time it goes from bad to worse Ha Ha Ha
well Thursday is my next big day a well known online site is busy winging various denture stuff my way incl. baby teething gel Banana flavour! So covered from every angle I am so nervous and another finger nail got chewed off today as I realized it was Monday and there was nothing stopping the week from moving on, I know my dentist is fantastic and I shouldn't even feel the injections, I have asked if laughing gas can be on standby have had the premixed stuff in hospital before for dressing changes but never for dental but as I am so freaked out by work on my front teeth in particular it won't harm to try it, I have only 2 days booked off work as was such short notice and I still need more extractions so need more time off, going to have a good feed tomorrow and Wednesday although limited with lack of teeth, sockets and sensitivity, unfortunately the boss opened his mouth about my procedure and its gone round work like Chinese whispers so guess on Saturday I'll be under scrutiny!!! Great!!! Ho hum!

Your husband is going to be booking you in at a different kind of clinic if he carries on walking in on you with white powder and syringe's full of stuff :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Yes you do have to lafffffffffffffff :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: it is good that we still can :butterfly:

Hi Carole:butterfly:,
Yes think my hubby is quite amused by it all :giggle:
you have to keep your sense of humour even if sometimes it gets a bit warped! Least I have work to keep me busy but it makes the days go very quick, hope you are well x

They feel strange but then they are going to, took 2 paracetamol when I got in the car although ended up wearing most of the milkshake down my jumper ;) Top jaw a little achy and tired so going to sit quiet,
good luck today Carole

Hi Deejay, glad to read you are fine and that you have your new dentures. I am hoping you are feeling well this evening.

Is that another badge you have there ?

I think you have done so well. Once your mouth has settled down I hope you enjoy your new teeth, you deserve them. Can you believe it is over, bar the healing after all that worry and waiting. You can now breath a sigh of relief.

Congratulations to you :jump::jump::jump::cheer::cheer::cheer::dance2::dance2::dance2::yayy::cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer:

I think you are really brave :respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect::respect: I bet you are really chuffed with yourself, you should be :wow::butterfly:

I think you are following me, or maybe I am following you, I have an appointment with my dentist on Tuesday too for a check up app. :giggle: Get plenty of rest and I hope you heal well.

That badge is for you! I promised you the next one :) the edit button wouldn't let me add the picture and words so i didnt get round to telling you it was yours xx. feeling a bit tender allowed to take them out to swill them but I'm a wee but nervous she said I could either take them out tonight or leave them in but I think I will leave them in as scared if I swell they won't go back in, cant close my teeth down as a bottom tooth is hitting the false teeth and pushing it up into my gums it done it twice when I tried to snooze, didn't half wake me up quick!!:eek:
We will discuss when the bottom 5 come out when I see her on Tuesday,
