That's great news!!!
Now we got to keep you OUT of that hospital  :fingerscrossed:!!!!!
:grouphug:'s

Yeah Chickenjen, it's almost embarrassing even though I can't help being ill, I know the names of most of the staff on 4 wards and lots of the staff on two more, the lady that takes the shop trolley round the wards never knows when she is next going to see me and in what ward ( last 3 week hospitalisation saw me in 4 different wards!!):rofl::rofl::rofl: we had a good laugh about it!:giggle: But honestly I feel like a time bomb :waiting:
Hope everyone is ticking along Ok:)

My hard reline has now settled down although I did take a gentle file to some obvious rough areas, I was not doing a major file job just a couple of burrs, it still has a bit of a aftertaste,:blargh: not so much when it's sitting in my mouth but more when I put it into my mouth, I only use a cleaning tablet occasionally but I do clean them with denture paste everyday, maybe an extra fizzy tablet soak will remove the lingering odour:giggle:
I feel rather pleased that I was asked to be a client in the chair during my dental practices assessment, whether this is because I have had a lot of work done in getting to where we are now and a bit of work to make my permanent dentures still to come, or whether as a phobic well a now 'not so phobic' my ease with this dentist is a testament to her fantastic way with us phobics, I'm not sure but I am taking it as an honour bestowed as a few months ago this would not have be possible for me and as I will not be getting any work done a trip without pressure of treatment is a great boost to my confidence level in going to the dentist type experiences!
I will not be so calm at the next app. for a scale ( but without asking 'the Happy Air ' :hic: has been ordered) the mere fact I didn't have to voice my concern and it was already addressed is great. hopefully the fact I now have dentures and only a few teeth I hope that although she can't take me as a regular client any work involving my last few real teeth (which may cause discomfort, and them being my front teeth which holds its own anxiety for me) she may just look after these for me if anything phobic associated is involved.
I am not keen on the dentist I was assigned to locally but could tolerate basic checks and X-rays, impressions and denture care but I really don't think I could let him poke about on my front teethies :eek:without happy air on standby that I can only get with my nice dentist, we will cross that problem should it arise by asking for a referral to see her.
I have not come all this way from a mouthful of horrible teeth and total fear :frantic: of walking into a dentists to nicer teeth and a tolerance of dental work even if still quaking :hidesbehindsofa:inside to loosing it by having to have treatment by a dentist I don't really like its not that he is horrible but his way of making me feel calm is monotonous, parrot fashioned, insincere drizzle!!! Only being honest. :innocent: Now if it was handsome flirty, sexy, macho ' you be ok in my hands, make me swoon:love: insincere drizzle it would ok, especially if he could wink;):rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::toofunny:

:) I'm back to normal:nahnahna::tease::silly:

Sorry not good quality pictures but my before and after pics bottom six front teeth are mine all others are false temporary you may be able to make out the clips on the bottom right holding the bottom partial in place not noticeable with a normal smile, will get my permanent custom made to my spec. soon.

I think in picture 2 the false match my own quite well:)

You're smile looks GREAT!!!! Congratulations.

Thank you Oshin, but I admit the bottom ones were hard to get used to and I know many people who gave up I was determined to stick it out,
How are you doing today how's the healing going?

Hi nice to see half of you :rofl::rofl: I think your teeth look very good they don't look false at all. I hope your leg is behaving itself.

I also hope you have those pans in order at work, if they start to get a bit out of hand and look as if they are going to go on the attack, give them the look :rofl::rofl: :butterfly:

Hi Carole, thanks for your kind words, yes I am fairly happy with my teeth and would be happy enough keeping them relatively similar with maybe a couple of alterations,( amazing how picky I am now they are false and I can visit the dentist more comfortably now) :giggle:
I have now finished work for the season, apart from maybe the odd corporate team building group, it's amazing how conscious I am of what I am doing now when near the pan shelf!! It was the way they had been put away on the shelf, the way I was standing with my foot out nonchalantly whilst operating the big can opener that you have to bang down on the tin , an accumulation of factors, now I check where the pans are and stand straight :giggle: But they are aware of what will happen if they even dare to misbehave:rofl:
Sorry just had to run get the washing in!
the dental surgery assessment fellow was very nice I was a bit unnerved as the actual dentist wasn't there but my friendly dental nurse was and he was obviously aware of my nervousness and told me he would only use 2 mirrors to look in my mouth and would touch the teeth with his fingers, I thought that was good and the dental nurse said I had done really well with my journey and had approached getting dentures in a well informed/ researched manner and had the right attitude and went it to it fully aware that it wouldn't be easy but ready to accept it and work with it.:innocent:
My next appointment is not til November 4th for a denture check and a scale and polish although I have a tender spot when brushing in between 2 so she may need to numb me and it's front teeth so whiff of happy air to help get me through that front teeth treatment fear I have! :)
How are you and how's the mouth feeling?
D.J:whirl:P.s wouldn't it be nice if you could customise that small smiley assortment into your most frequently used, save going into the main page all the time :hmm:

Hi, yes you did approach your whole dental situation with a determination that came out of nowhere and now you are my champion. When you look back and read how scared you were and the wait you were going to have and now you will end up with your perm teeth almost before they would have been taken out I think.

The teeth you have look very good, so you will be well chuffed with the next set. That is what they say anyway.

It would be good if we had a list of most used smilies, I think the most common ones are at the bottom but you see when people get carried away as we tend to do using them we need the other box with them all in. I think the pressing buttons does make us lazy :rofl::rofl: I have often thought myself if I just didn't have to go into the other section of the smilies it would be much quicker, then I laugh at myself because it is only a click of a mouse but it isn't quick enough :rofl::rofl: we are funny folk aren't we :grin::grin:

My mouth is fine, I still have three bits of cement that I cannot remove myself and I have tried hard. I am thinking of getting one of those dental pick things and having a go myself but I don't think I am that brave just yet. The actual fit feel fine. My jaw is still aching and painful but she is going to assess it in Jan again and probably refer me back to the hospital for it.

I am glad you have done with work for the season it will give you more time for hobbies.

We will soon be able to use the christmas smilies again whoooooooooooooooooooooooooHooooooooooooo and the snowy ones too, I don't know if you know but I love snow. Can't get enough of it.

Life on the seas is fine too, which is a relief to me. How is you sister doing?

For your courage in handling your treatment I award you a whole load of these :star::star::star::star::star::star::star::star::star::star::star::yay::yay::yay::yay::whirl:I just added that one because I know you love it :butterfly::plays:I can't wait but first we have :fireworks:

I know my dad used wet and dry emery paper to smooth off his rough spots:giggle: Oh and one of them dremmel type electric hobby files:rofl: Probably not really advisable:naughty:
Now I have upgraded my ipad I can press the particular smiley as many times as I want in quick succession and put them in easy before I could only do one at a time and re enter the the smiley page each time so doing big long congrats was difficult but now I can:yayy::yayy::yayy::yayy::yayy::yayy::yayy::yayy: :giggle:
:toofunny: There are no Halloween smiley faces??? I love the snow too but have to keep it too myself as we have a farm so I have to hide my excitement a bit especially after the horrendous devastation the snow caused at the start of the year over here, so watch out dental fear forum I will proclaim my happiness in smilies I also love fireworks we can't have them here because of the animals but I like to go watch them nearby. But I have my dogs birthday tomorrow the one that's my avitar Mollie she is 10 then I also have a :happybirthday: this month too
i am happy hearing you are doing ok and that life on the seas is good too. I want to spend my winter getting the house into order and concentrating on my language classes and studying, Xmas is busy on the farm so we keep it quiet in the house and don't do much but still enjoy it. My sister is well thank you busy stealing blackberries from our hedgerows, I must get some jam made before she takes too many :) Oh well time for a cuppa, catch you soon, be good :hug5:
D.J:whirl:

You sound in good spirits, Deejay. Your teeth look nice, I couldn't tell they weren't your natural ones.
Hope you're feeling well and have NO plans to visit that hospital anytime soon, :giggle:.

Hello Chickenjen :hug4:
I am trying very hard to avoid hospital and my hubby has been warned to be careful too seeing as it turned out the days I was in and out of hospital corresponded almost exactly to the dates I was in last year, and today is the anniversary of him falling through a roof and going to hospital leaving me to manage a farm on my own for 2 weeks!!!!
I love autumn so I am always in good spirits
how are you doing at the moment ?
D.J :whirl:

I love autumn too! Just enjoying the cooler weather and the beautiful fall foliage. Doing OK for now.............teeth seem to have settled down so hopefully I can make it to Dec. 10 my next dental appointment.
:hug5:'s!!!!!!!!!

I'll add some Halloween smilies over the coming days :).

Unfortunately there's no way of customizing the smilies into "most used ones" for each user - however, I'll try and make finding them a little easier by grouping them into themes when I add the Halloween smilies.

And your new smile looks great, Deejay :perfect:!!

Thank you letsconnect for your kind words regarding my new smile ;D
Cant wait to see the Halloween smiles thank you so much
