As some of y’all know (May recognize my name), I was diagnosed with early periodontal disease in August. Went for my deep cleaning in September. As of December 26, my hygienist mentioned that my gum disease isn’t something to be concerned with right now. What exactly does that mean? I know I have some recession on my lower front teeth but she made no point of mentioning a gum graft or anything. Gums don’t bleed when I brush and she mentioned how great my gums look. I go back for my exam in March. Should I be worried about further bone loss if she said she’s not worried about my gum disease?

Hi,

Sounds to me your gum is healthy now.
The fact that it does not bleed with brushing is a good sign (unless you are a smoker, then it will not bleed even while having a gum inflammation).

Sounds like great news!
