Triazolam for wisdom tooth removal

So I'm getting a wisdom tooth removed tomorrow as well as getting a deep cleaning. My dentist prescribed me one pill for the procedure and was wondering if anyone else has experience taking this as well? How did it make you guys feel?

I'm just so nervous about the procedure and how well the medicine will actually work in calming me down/not being too aware of the procedure. I'm just starting to really freak out about this so any feedback would be much appreciated!

First off I'd like to thank everyone on this forum for sharing their stories. Particularly Gordon for their input on infections not being as life threatening as the rest of the internet would have you believe and that not all dentists are evil.

My phobia started around 20 years ago when I was a kid. Needles and dental anesthesia have crippled me in fear and made me avoid the dentist since then. I had my appointment for my temporary crown and deep clean on March 3rd. The dentist crushed up the pill and instructed me to put it under my tongue to let it dissolve. I was a bit apprehensive thinking an hour had passed but the next thing I remember was them putting the nitrous over my nose and then the assistant walking me to the car.
