Ok guys, this is more for complete peace of mind.

next wensday, i got my checkup. looking foward to it just to get it done and over with. its not so much the getting the xrays, or they exploring my mouth with the dental probe that gets me, its just sitting there in the wating room nervous like not knowing what to expect that really messes with me.

So, ok. Down to the question. In 6 months, with a very low sugar diet, above exelent oral care, what are the chances of them finding anything? and if they do, how likely is it somthing they missed from before.

As you all know, i brush ATLEAST 3 times a day with crest pro health, using an electric toothbrush, i wate half an hour to and hour before brushing after a meal, to avoid enamel erosion, my diet is mostly protenes and bread and cheese, and water to drink. I have not had any high sources of sugar in 2 years other then the ocasional once a year slice of birthday cake. and i avoid anything highly acitic or with over 4 grams of sugar in it.

So to me, seems next to impossable for me to have any trouble what so ever. based on the info above, am i correct in suspecting that they find absolutly nothing come next wensday?

No one here can tell you for sure, Al, but it sounds like all the things you are doing are maximizing your chances of having no problems detected at your appointment. Sometimes there can be some issues that appear in the mouth that you have no control over so you will just have to accept that fact.

Accidentally biting into a bone creating a chip or something can be difficult to avoid or control. Life is full of uncertainties so you just have to accept that there are some things you cannot control, but that does not mean you will not be fully able to handle them. Worrying about things doesn't really help change anything except to perhaps cause you some grief.

There's that saying, "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference." [smiley=angelic.gif] I say that prayer every time I get slapped by some younger woman at the bar.

Well. idk. im just eager to get the whole checkup done and over with and out of the way, ya know. I get yes, u can acidently injure your teeth at any time do to a fight, fall, eating somthing a bit to hard...

Its just...I know i put in so much time, effort, and energy into making sure im decay free, i just want that confromation ya know.

All the better just to wait for your appointment, and your dentist can fully confirm that you're doing fine with your teeth and everything is great. Make sure to bring your list of questions that you would like to ask at that time so you won't have those burning questions in the back of your mind afterwards.

Yea good idea. Im going to make a list the night before.
