So I've only just joined
and I wanted to share my story, and ask any questions regarding the process I will be going through for the next year or so!
Im currently a senior in highschool so its a busy and rather hectic time for me, but regardless....
I have a jaw mishap, where my teeth dont line up due to my jaw having grown more on the right side, than on the left. I also have a baby tooth with no adult took 3rd across from the front left tooth, and also have a smaller top jaw than bottom, resulting in a bit of an over bite on an angle.
So... my process now involves having my wisdom teeth removed. Braces put on for a year and a half or so, and then a jaw operation in order to reline my teeth.
About 6 days ago I had my wisdom teeth removed and so i'm currently still recovering. I only have 3, but I got my bottom 2 removed. I was under local anaesthetic, and since having gone through the procedure and coming out, its been painful but manageable. Now 6 days later i'm still having 1 problem. Since given anaesthetic, the right side was not as numb as the left, although the left was a lot more painful when given the needle. The right side was completed 2nd, a lot faster than the left, however it has been in a lot more pain. I've read that people can start eating after a week or 2, but my current concern is that I can't close my mouth 100% due to a pain on the right where my tooth was removed...
When moving my mouth it feels like im biting the side of my mouth, and it is causing pain when swallowing and moving around, especially when there is movement of my tongue. Due to this, I haven't been able to chew any food nor open and close my mouth in comfort, as well as speaking very clearly.
Tonight I felt with my finger that there is a lump, sort of like a ball over the area where the tooth was extracted and is extremely sensitive, causing a lot of pain
. The left has been healing perfectly with barely any pain, however the right has been an issue since the beginning.. It feels like just my gums having been stitched incorrectly causing a bump, but of course I don't know for sure.. I'll be seeing the doctors in 2 days from now so i'll be asking about it then as well.
The day straight after the teeth were extracted, I also had spacers put in, causing more sensitivity to my teeth, and especially to the right side of my mouth. Using my tongue I am often pushing against my teeth, as the spacers are pushing them and causing discomfort. The left as usual is causing no problem.
I will be getting braces in 3 days. A day after my check up...
More pain on my teeth and more discomfort with eating..
I've been eating only porridge, soup and ice-cream, for the past couple of days
