Are these 2 related?
I am no longer in pain regarding the gum, all seems to be healing ok but i keep getting earache.
This was the last of 3 that needing removing (was done in different appointments)
I didn't get eacahe with the others but the one in question was harder for her to get out.

Could it be because of the extraction or something seperate?

The earache might actually be pain coming from the TMJ (Jawjoint) which is very close to the ear. TMJ pain often presents as earache, and if you do not have pain from the actual extraction site- my bet would be that this is the issue.
If the procedure was quite difficult &/or lengthy- you probably had your mouth open for quite a while, and the procedure may have involved a bit of pressure and physical movement. Therefore the joint may have been strained by either of both these things. Also, if there were any initial problems with the joint- these could be inflammed by the procedure. Sometimes underlying joint problems are undiagnosed as they are not painful. Were you ever aware of the joint popping or clicking before the treatment for example?
Rest the joint by avoiding tough/chewy foods (keep to a fairly soft diet for a week or two). Avoid opening your mouth very wide. Take anti-inflammatory painkillers if you are medically ok to do so.
The pain should start to disappear- if it doesn't- let me know and I'll ask my TMJ collegaue to message back with some thoughts on what you could do next.
Kind regards
Dr Mike
