I’m 2 days post op for a wisdom tooth, and my lip, teeth and lower left side gums and teeth have numbness. Yesterday, my cheek and chin tingled, pins and needles every few hours and then stopped. I felt pressure earlier on my lips. I don't have those sensations today. I've placed gauze on the site, and there isn't any blood. I’m freaking out, and it’s sent my anxiety into a big tailspin. I already take vitamin D and a multivitamin. I am brushing my teeth, but it’s a weird feeling when it’s numb.
Has anyone had any success?
I’ve booked an appointment with my dentist on Thursday. The dentist who did the extraction and who isn’t my normal dentist, said usually it’s a wait-and-see approach with those things - I’m not taking that risk! Also, my tooth wasn't near the nerve. However, I was given *3 injections per area on the inner cheek, the front and back of the tooth and on the tongue. He said that I still had an infection that was blocking the anaesthetic
in People’s experiences, what do dentists do in that scenario?
How are people managing with numbness and tingling? It's a weird sensation when I drink a glass of water or brush my teeth.
My anxiety is sky high!
