I am nearing 30 and wondering how much worse it hurts to get wisdom teeth out when you are older. I had my two lower ones out when I was 26 because one was decayed pretty badly. But the top two are still in. Last time I had x-rays done there was a visiting assisting dentist in the exam room. He looked at the x-ray and said there was some decay happening in one of my upper wisdom teeth. Now I'm freaked out. My actual dentist was rushed that day - she's always rushed actually, I kinda hate that. And she didn't mention it at all. But now I'm scared if I don't get them out soon I'll get an abscess or something. I've had one before and it was horrible pain so I do not want that again!
I just want to know, from people who've had them out at a later age, is it a lot worse? Should I expect complications? I'm also scared something could go wrong with my sinuses during removal because these are the upper wisdom teeth.
