Worried sick about tartar/calculas removal :(

Hi everyone. This might be a long one so bare with me and sorry in advance.
I'm 24 and have a severe phobia of the dentist. Hadn't been in about 8 years and I hate to say my mouth is in an awful mess.
Anyway I plucked the courage to go to an extremely nice dental clinic and had some xrays done.
I need to get 2 teeth extracted and 1 root extracted. And so far from what the dentist can see I need 7 fillings and 1 root canal. Anyway my right upper and lower side and bottom front teeth and more badly covered in tartar/calculas so the dentist needs to do a proper clean of them before he can xrays and decide what else needs done. I'm now terrified as I'm scared the teeth will fall out once this stuff is removed from.them especially as my bottom front teeth have badly receading gums and upper and lower molars.
Can anyone tell me if it's possible the teeth will fall out during this deep cleaning procedure ? I seem horrible videos on Google with similar procedures jd there was lots of blood. Im so scared and my appointment is tomorrow at 1.30

I'm not a dentist, but from what I've read getting the tartar/calculas removed will strengthen your gums. I'm sure the dentist won't do anything that will make them fall out.

I'm not a dentist either, but I'm 27 and was in just about the same situation you're currently in until last week. Hadn't seen a dentist in about 6 years, teeth in horrible condition, bad calculus buildup, badly receded gums, gum disease, TONS of dental work needed. My lower front teeth even tend to get a little bit loose from time to time.

Dentist removed all the tartar and calculus quickly with little bleeding and no issues at all.
