I have only been to dentists twice in the last 15 or more years and that was only to have teeth pulled that were killing me. Lately though, I have come to realize that I am really losing out. For the last 15 years I have been paying for dental insurance but never using it until I absolutely had to. And when I had to go the dentist, I felt so self-conscious about the state of my teeth that I felt embarassed even opening my mouth! Right now I have no pain but my wife said something to me the other day that hit a nerve, "What are you going to do if your front teeth fall out? Go to work looking like a backwoods hillbilly for a week or two until the dentist can order and have some new ones made for you?" That may sound a bit severe to say, but that is what it took to make me finally go online and find out my dental insurance carrier and pick a dentist near my work. Now I am set for that. I just need to call and make an appointment. I have to say, finding this site took me aback and really made me feel more comfortable about the whole thing. Nope, I am not alone and it most assuredly is not going to quite as bad as my fear is. Thanks...
