Omg I'm so so scared. Going to have all of my remaining teeth extracted and getting my immediate dentures tomorrow. I'm so scared. The teeth below my gum line dont scare me as much as the teeth that are broke off at the gum line. Im only having local anaesthetic and i absolutely hate the needles. I've got terrible genes and due to painful teeth and gums have nearly completely neglected my oral hygiene routine. Thats sad but its true. Mymom had dentures at 25 and my gma at 30. Im scared of what I'll look like w no teeth even tho it can't be worse than the rotten onesin my mouth. My husband has been so supportive and luckily we have grear insurance so I'm paying 2000 for 8000 worth of work and teeth. Im going to aspen dental and getting comfilytes. Anyone know about them? Sorry so long. Any support would be great!!!

Hello.im sorry u have to go through this.the first thing I wanna tell u is that if its the pain your scared of think of this.....dentists have many options including iv sedation to make shure you feel no pain during the procedure and any dentist worth anything would make shure u know u have the option to request any and all of those options at ANYTIME.when I have to undergo extensive dental procedures I try to think of how good we have it now compared to what people had to do even 100yrs ago and that seems to help.I also thibk about hiw one day soon the procedure will be a distant memory and everything will be normal again.as for worrying about hiw dentures will make u look ,I guess I would think about how many people young and old youve seen that probably had dentures and you didn't even realise it : ) plus if theres something you dont like about them u can change it.ill leave u with this......if u relly want to feel no pain talk to ur dentist about iv anesthesia,it could be worse ,the person doing this has gone through years of school for this,think about how happy ull be when its over,and finally you'll be a much stronger person for having to go through this.if its gota be done its gota be done,better sooner than later cause the older u get the more dense your jaw bone becomes leading to longer healing time.good luck : )ps.....there is a topical lidocaine they can put on the injection site first so the needle wont be so noticeable

Thank you so much! You're so right, things could be a lot worse! I had the option of iv sedation but i chose not to bc of the waiting time I'd have to go thru. I got my courage up to even go and sigm off on my treatment plan so i might as,well do all of this while ive got my nerve up bc i could literally chicken oiy at any moment! But I'm so excited to get a,new set of teeth!!!

I have denture over 10 years and I was shame and upset when it happen but I didn't get denture right away . You can ask for oral sedation since I did it for extractions crown rootcanal fillings and my next adventure I doing is implants denture I going have sinus graft it be at hospital so I be knock out ten implants install be oral or iv at the office

It all happened today and im very pleased with my temp denture set! I cant wait for my perms but these look good. Idk if its normal but it delt like the bottom wouldnt numb all the way. Like, i still felt pain. But im happy its all over and done with, and so happy i wont have to worry about tooth pain EVER AGAIN!
