Well I've been reading tons of posts on this website which have helped me a great deal...but I'm still really nervous. I'm having 2 wisdom teeth extracted tomorrow, one upper, one lower. I'm 37 years old and both teeth are non-impacted and the oral surgeon says it should be pretty easy. I'm not afraid of needles, blood, pain...I'm afraid of being sedated! I've never been sedated in my life so I guess I am just scared of what to expect. From everything I've read, it is a piece of cake but I think I am afraid of something going wrong. I already know I'm going to be a wreck tomorrow morning. Will the IV really make me feel relaxed? Any tips?? Thank you so much!!

Had IV sedation twice now. I can tell you, you will feel more than a little relaxed. You won't even remember anything about it. No feelings, no sensations...nothing.

Its really a case of a tiny scratch in the back of the hand...count to ten...open eyes and find your teeth missing. IV is the golden solution to phobics like myself. Its awesome.
