Ok guys You all know me, very paranoid over my teeth so please try to excuse the dumbness of this one question.

I use crest pro health night for a while. as far as i can tell its the top brand toothpaste. My mom goes shopping, gets me normal crest pro health NOT the night brand

Is there any diffrence what so ever other then the flavor? I cant seem to get a solid awnser. My guess, i dont see how, but there whole marketing campain is "Protects teeth at night"

Dont ALL toothpaste do that as long as you dont eat somthing? Also i cant recall waking up with monring breath in years. Usualy first order of buisness i do when i wake up is brush my teeth,

So should i return the non night pack for nights? or it dont matter one way or another

Also, i know the mouthwash apparently causes staining, but gorden says not to use mouthwash to begin with, which i dont.

I think there's really only so much effect a toothpaste can have on the teeth. Most of the advertising you hear probably is based more on hype than scientific research I would imagine.

oh ok.

idk, i read about the stanious floride caused staining, thats my biggest concern but i never got any of that.

now, ive been using this stuff for over a year, as far as i can tell no staining what so ever.. but just for ease of mind, what r the chances of me suddley getting staning cause of it?

Best to stick to whatever you feel comfortable with. Like zz says there is not much difference between pastes and there is a lot of hype coupled with some clever marketing. For example these guys seem to be selling a night version with a different flavour. I remember being paranoid when I was told to use corsodyl for a mouth ulcer and being told it might stain my teeth. It didn't but these warnings do put you off. I will only use colgate total but that's just my preference based on years of good experience. If you feel good with the product carry on, if not change. There's certainly lots to choose from!

Well i know i never had teeth whiting so of course, my teeth might be slightly stained due to my soda drinking years. No Enamel Erosion as far as i can tell.

But its nothing thats major or severe. The toothpaste seems to work fine. Its just hard to tell whats a natural shade of tooth color, vs a stained one. I know i dont have any brown or black stains.

I'm sure a dentist will confirm, but to me it's just common sense that if you can't tell if a tooth is stained then it's not.

well they dont appear to be so i guess thats my awnser

I don't mean to be rude, but you can tell that you are from the US!!!! Noone else would worry so much about the BRAND they are using. (sorry to generalise, but this is my experience of our cousins stateside!)

Sensible suggestion is to check the ingredients. And try not to rely on advertising too much. They want you to buy their products, it's great if they can get you to buy two of their products that are doing the same thing!! They make more cash out of us that way!!!

H :-*

your spot on about that. Here in the us its all about money, which sickens me to no end!
