A few quick questions!

Hi,
As long as I can remember I've had a massive fear of the dentist. So much so that I haven't been to the dentist for about 10 years. I know that sounds terrible but I'm very scared.

Just today I asked my Mum to come with me if I made an appointment. I burst in to tears just talking about going but I'm going through with it because I am worried about my teeth.

How long is a checkup? I can't remember and I know as soon as I get there I'm gonna get scared and want to leave.

Also, I have receeding gums and was wondering what kind of treatment I will need? I know that it needs to be sorted or it's going to get worse.

A checkup can take from 10 mins to 30 mins, depends on the dentist a lot. Every body works at a different pace.

The second question can't be answered properly without seeing your mouth, ask your dentist when they've had a chance to examine you.
